Plenty of stars flocked to the Dayinsure Wales Rally GB, the 11th round of the FIA World Rally Championship but a particularly well received show was provided by the two-wheeled stars of the touring “Pedal to the medal” team. Trialbike legend Kenny Belaey and his co-stars entertained the crowd at the Llandudno promenade. Check out the video in attachment to catch all the excitement from Wales!

Kenny Belaey’s “Pedal to the medal” has been bringing together the most spectacular cycling disciplines since 2015 in one jaw-dropping show. World-class talent, a purpose-built set up with obstacles and speakers, pumping beats accompanied by a energetic MC, the Pedal to the medal crew takes care of everything. This unique tour has received both critical and public acclaim all over the world. Moroever, Pedal to the Medal boasts the largest demo set-up in the world!

"As a kid I started to do small shows and things kept on growing. Our goal remains to get as many people as possible acquainted with trialbike and other cycling disciplines that they may never have heard of. Year by year Pedal to the Medal imrpoves and becomes more professional to provide people with an epic show they’ll never forget, "says nine-time trialbike world champion Kenny Belaey. When Kenny's brother, Wesley is not riding in Pedal to the Medal, he films his team mates. DJ Maddis is the master behind the turntables, adapting his tunes to the tricks of the riders. The intense action and sick tricks give you the impression of watching an amazing YouTube clip live.

Multiple Belgian champion flatland BMX Barre Neirynck has been a part of the Pedal to the Medal team since day one. The technical flatland moves on the BMX look very different from the trialbike or freestyle tricks. Yet the riders have more in common than you might think at first sight. "Everyone is  super competitive! We constantly push each other to offer the public a show for the ages. Even new riders who join us are immediately ignited by that fantastic Pedal to the Medal vibe,” says Neirynck. In Wales, Brent Verbaant replaced the injured Kenneth Tancré. The 17-year-old freestyler made a huge impression in Wales and wowed rally fans with his first front flip on the Pedal to the Medal setup.

"Most people know us from Festivals or other big events, but we also have regular bookings for company events or product presentations, which is a completely different audience. The atmosphere is different too, but that variety makes it even more fun for us," concludes tour manager Fien Lammertyn.
